Kathy Baker – Treasurer

Prior to joining the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management in the role of Executive Director, Business Services Kathy has held numerous senior leadership positions with the State Service including Deputy Secretary, Corporate Services with Department of Communities Tasmania, General Manager, Shared Services with the Department of Health and Human Services and Director of Service Tasmania with the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Before joining the State Service, Kathy was the Southern Tasmania Area Manager for the Colonial Trust Bank, which merged to become part of the Commonwealth Bank.

Kathy holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Administration from Macquarie University and is currently studying to complete the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Kathy is married, has two teenage children, lives in Hobart and has volunteered for South Hobart Football Club and Kilburn Netball Club, including undertaking the role of Treasurer for both clubs.
